This story is a lot. Through the course of the series, there will be breeding, pregnancy, and lactation kinks, sex work, extremely problematic consent, degradation, breath play, double penetration, BDSM, both vaginal and cesarian births, and a miscarriage (which you’ll know is going to happen well in advance as the third book begins before the previous two chronologically; I promise I would never dump a surprise miscarriage on you).
There will also be references to child abuse, drug use including during pregnancy and developmental disorders due to prenatal exposure, death of a spouse/parent.
House Rules is a complete plot arc with a satisfying ending, but it does not have a Happily Ever After. It’s not a cliffhanger, it’s not going to end at some terribly stressful moment, it’s just a vacation that ends with them going their separate ways. They’ll be reunited and have their Happily Ever After in the second book, All In.
